What does HR do?
HR helps employees and supervisors with recruiting, pay, benefits, and professional development. While we make recommendations, we do not make decisions about hiring, pay, promotion, or termination—supervisors, department directors and vice-presidents/deans do this.
HR fosters good communication among employees, maintains a diverse workforce and inclusive workplace, and helps supervisors improve their leadership and team building skills.
