JMP

JMP is statistical software used in Biology. It's available to students, instructors, and academic researchers for free who are enrolled at or employed by a degree-granting institution such as Reed.

Create a JMP Account

Students and faculty will need to sign up for a free JMP account at https://jmp.com/student. Click the "Get JMP for Free" button.
Enter your Reed email address and follow the prompts. During the account creation process, you will be sent a verification code, and be asked to submit proof of eligibility. Submitting a photo of your Reed ID card is the easiest option.

Using JMP

JMP is installed on many of the lab computers in Biology and is also available for installation on your own computer. Once your account has been created, launch JMP, and sign in with the password you set. An email verification process is required the first time you launch it on a new machine, and will be required periodically from time to time. For this reason, it's best for students to use JMP on the same lab computer to reduce the frequency of email verifications.
