Join us for the 10th Anniversary Edition!


No application needed — just register, pay your fee, and be part of the celebration.
Whether you’re joining the Community Orchestra or the Advanced Program, registration is open to all musicians who want to learn, play, and share a week of tango music at Tango for Musicians at Reed College.

Tango for Musicians Registration Schedule

Registration with discount January 12 - March 2, 2026
Regular registration March 3 - June 15, 2026
Financial aid request January 12 - January 31, 2026
Financial aid response February 9, 2026

Steps for Registration

  1. Register via the online form, available here beginning January 12, 2026
  2. Complete payment and receive your confirmation email and a form where you can tell us more about yourself
  3. Complete the additional form, including video link to you playing, if applicable
  4. We’ll contact you closer to the event with preparation materials and practical details

There’s no audition or application required — registration confirms your place!

Refund Policy

A 100% refund of the tuition fee will be provided for those who request it by contacting
tango@reed.edu before March 2, 2026 (excluding service fees). After that date and until
May 15, 2026, a 50% refund will be given. Tuition is not refundable after May 15, 2026.

Cancellation Notice

Reed College reserves the right to cancel the event in case of extenuating circumstances. A refund will be provided to all registered participants excluding administrative transfer fees.

Image Rights

By registering for Tango for Musicians for Reed College, all participants give up the right to receive compensation for the use of their image in photographs and/or videos with educational or promotional means both by Tango for Musicians at Reed College and Tango Sin Fin.

FAQ

Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. All activities are conducted in English, and our bilingual faculty can assist if needed.

Can I join if I’ve never played tango before?
Absolutely! The Community Orchestra program is designed for all musical levels.

Do I need to bring my instrument?
Yes, please bring your own instrument and any accessories you usually use.

Can I attend without staying on campus?
Yes. Commuter options are available, though we recommend the on-campus stay for the full community experience.
