Level 2 Self-Defense Theory and Fitness

This class is open to students who have completed at least one quarter of Level 1.  In addition to improving the skills you learned last quarter, we will introduce more advanced techniques and continue to improve your strength and endurance.  In addition to self-defense knowledge like violence dynamics and using assertive communication, this course will cover nutritional and fitness information--self defense begins with how you treat yourself! If you want your body to be able to run fast or fight hard in an emergency, you have to build it up and teach it how.  

To participate in this class you must be able to turn your camera on in the zoom call so that we can give you enough feedback to make sure you are moving safely. If you can register for the class with someone in your quarantine bubble PLEASE DO--having a training partner will greatly enrich your experience. This class will be scaled to match the relevant restrictions during the pandemic.  We may have the opportunity to train as a socially distanced class, or we may have to meet entirely online; either way the course will be built to optimize your learning.
