Backpack Co-Op

Backpack Co-Op is not open currenlty but we hope to open up on a limited social distance manner for equipment rental. Stay tuned!

The student-run backpack co-op is the campus resource for outdoor equipment. All Reed community members—students, faculty, and staff—are welcome to check out gear or enjoy the coop's social area. Email us for contact and questions. Give us a call at 503-517-5516.

The Co-Op is housed in the Reed Outdoor Education Center located in the Sports Center. The Co-Op can fit all your needs for outdoor gear for adventures additionally we have SUP boards, Kayaks, Canoe's and Mtn Bikes for rent at the Co-Op.

Reminder: Make sure to give yourself at least 15 minutes of time when returning tents and bikes. This time allotment is so that the gear user has enough time to fully set up the tents so that the coop managers are able to see that all the parts are included, that everything is functional, and that they are clean and DRY. For bikes, the time allotment is so that the co-op managers have enough time to check all the parts of the bike and to make sure everything functions well. You will be asked to set up your tent and show that all parts are present and dry!
