Case #: 230481
Date: 2023 12 26
Time: 09:08
Description: Information Only
Location: ODB

Notes: A CSO responded to a request for a security check on a residence in ODB. Dispatch received a request from a student that their residence be checked for signs of burglary due to suspicious activity the student had noticed on their credit card. The student stated that the card in question should have been secured inside their residence and should have had no activity. The CSO inspected the residence but did not see any obvious signs of burglary or other suspicious activity. The CSO observed that the room had been locked when they had arrived. The student stated that they had lost their key prior to leaving so they had left the room unlocked. The student confirmed that they had placed a hold on the card so that no further purchases could be made without their authorization. No further action was needed at this time.

CS Survey Responses:

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
You can take the survey here: CS Survey
