The CSO attempted to make contact with the individuals and when they did so, one individual yelled to the other, who then quickly exited the second vehicle. The two individuals got into their own vehicle and sped out of the lot. When the CSO investigated the vehicle that had been entered by one of the two individuals, they observed damage to the steering column and fuse box panel. The CSO met with some non-community members who stated that while two people were walking their dogs, a third dog exited a nearby vehicle and began attacking one of the two dogs. Shortly after, another dog appeared, no owner in sight, and also began attacking the one dog. By the time the CSO arrived, the fight had been stopped and both of the off leash dogs had been contained. The dog that had been attacked was no longer on site, as it had sustained injuries and was taken to the veterinarian. Animal control arrived and took custody of both off-leash dogs.

CS Survey Responses:

Every week Community Safety requests survey responses from those who've had interactions with a member of the Community Safety team. These responses are always collected anonymously with the option for the responder to leave contact information if they would like for a member of Community Safety management to contact them, and are used internally for departmental performance tracking. Community Safety has opted to publish these survey results for transparency and community accountability. *Names and pronouns mentioned in survey responses will be redacted to protect the privacy of individuals.

In addition to surveys sent directly to those who have interacted with Community Safety, the Reed community is always encouraged to independently complete the survey regarding Community Safety's performance.
You can take the survey here: CS Survey

Unlock Met expectations wait was fine
Unlock Met expectations No comments, they were very nice when they came to unlock my dorm.
Unlock Surpassed expectations
Unlock Surpassed expectations Faster than every. Absolute gains
Unlock Surpassed expectations Everything went very smoothly, especially given that campus had been partially shut down on account of snow. My teaching partner had coordinated the unlock for me--I needed to get access to (redacted) lab--so I didn't deal with any of the coordination, but from my experience everything was great. Campus safety was really helpful, and I want to express my thanks. It seems like you should be able to evaluate us as well. (redacted)
