Russian major Timmy Straw '18 has been selected as a Fulbright Fellow to Russia, where she will work on translating a body of contemporary Russian poet Maria Stepanova's work, and researching more broadly (with the guidance of Professor Ilya Kukulin at the Moscow Higher School of Economics) contemporary poetry in Moscow. Timmy was also accepted to a double MFA in poetry and translation at Iowa's Writer's Workshop, a program which she deferred for her Fulbright year, but which she will take up on return from Moscow.Previous profile: Aja Procita '18 | Next profile: Nicole Cohen '16
