What is Handshake?
Handshake is Reed's online database for jobs, on-campus jobs, internships, and opportunities in the Portland area and beyond. You can schedule appointments with CLBR advisors, search employers and jobs, view student profiles, rsvp to events, and more.
New students are pre-loaded each year over the summer (in June or July); you'll receive a welcome email from CLBR when your account is ready. Any students who already have accounts can use the link below to sign in. Choose the Reed College Login option and sign in with your IRIS credentials.

- Entrepreneurship and business strategy
- Globalization and diplomacy
- Healthcare and the cure of illness
- Investing and financial responsibility
- Research, tech, and innovation
- Sustainable life on earth
Opportunities for Funding
Opportunities in the non-profit space are not always paid. To help in your pursuit of experience in the non-profit sector, Reed makes competitive summer funding available. We label some unpaid positions as "summer internship award candidate" when we think those positions might be a good candidate for applying to Reed funds (Summer Internship Awards, maybe others). This is not a guarantee of eligibility, but it is a good place to start looking.

Handshake apps are available for Android and iOS.
Alumni
Beginning with the class of 2018, your account is pre-loaded and you can sign in with your IRIS credentials using the Reed login option just as current students do.
Alumni from class of 2017 and beyond will need to sign up for an account. Handshake will encourage you to use your reed email address; ignore that advice and use any address you want that isn't the .edu address for another school (other schools might use that .edu address for Handshake accounts through those schools). You can definitely use your @alumni.reed.edu address.
