Sustainability at Reed

Our team

Our team of sustainability interns is making change on campus! Each intern is leading a year-long, independent project addressing different aspects of sustainability: food production and land care, designing a living learning community, waste reduction, Swap Shop, event planning, and more.

Anna Clauer

My name is Anna and I am a Sophomore Environmental Science-Chem major at Reed. I love Reed and want to make sure that we are practicing sustainability on campus as much as possible! I think it’s crucial to acknowledge that we are an integral part of the environment and that, through collaboration and intention in our interactions with the natural world, we can protect the earth we love so much. I will focusing on waste reduction efforts and will be overseeing the Recycling Center.

Rachel Thacker

Hi! My name is Rachel, I love crafting, cooking, and making music on my violin. When I am not doing any of those things, you'll probably find me watching sitcoms or out in nature.
