Student Life meetings
The deans in Student Life meet regularly one-on-one with students for academic support, assistance in addressing obstacles to student success, guidance on campus policies and procedures, and collaboration on student and campus life initiatives. They are:

- Steve Abrahão, Associate Dean for Academic Life
- Yasodha Gopal, M.D., Associate Dean for Health and Well-Being
- Claudia Ramírez Islas, Associate Dean for Student and Campus Life
Gwen Sandford (Program Director for International Student Services), Christy Martin (Director of Academic Support), Amaan Mohiuddin (Quantitative Skills Specialist and Tutor Program Coordinator in Academic Support Services), and Cathy Carrington (Associate to the Vice President for Student Life) also conduct specific student support meetings as noted below.
Please find the meeting you are interested in below and choose the Dean or staff member with whom you would like to meet, click on their name/link, and pick a meeting time with them.
If you are unsure with whom you should meet, please contact the Student Life Office and include your name, preferred times to meet, and a brief description of what you would like to discuss. We'll be back in touch with you to help schedule your meeting.
Leave of absence request meeting
Leave of absence request meeting (see below if you are on an F1 or J1 visa)
This Student Life meeting with a dean is required for your Leave of Absence request to discuss the leave process, answer any questions you have, and share resources available to you. Please schedule your meeting with Steve Abrahão, Yasodha Gopal, Claudia Ramírez Islas, or Chris Toutain.
Leave of absence request meeting for students on an F1 or J1 visa
This Student Life/International Student Services meeting is required for your Leave of Absence request to discuss the leave process, your SEVIS status, answer any questions you have, and share resources available to you. Please schedule your meeting with Gwen Sandford, Program Director for International Student Services.
Leave of absence extension request meeting (see above if you are on an F1 or J1 visa)
For leave of absence requests that will continue a leave you are currently on or have just completed. This Student Life meeting with a staff member is required for your Leave of Absence request to discuss the leave process, answer any questions you have, and share resources available to you. Please schedule this meeting with Cathy Carrington.
Medical Leave of absence request meeting
Progress Plan meeting
This meeting with Student Services conducted by Academic Life staff is to discuss resources, strategies, and tools to develop your progress plan. Please schedule your meeting with Christy Martin, Amaan Mohiuddin, or Steve Abrahão.
Return to Reed meeting
This meeting with a dean in Student Life is to discuss your return to Reed (after a leave, study abroad, readmission, etc.) and is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have to plan for your return and a successful semester. Please schedule your meeting with Steve Abrahão, Yasodha Gopal, Claudia Ramírez Islas, or Chris Toutain.
Underload request meeting
This meeting with Academic Life staff is to discuss your request for an underload (dropping to fewer than 3 units). Please meet with your faculty adviser before this meeting. Please schedule this meeting with Steve Abrahão, Christy Martin, or Amaan Mohiuddin.
Withdrawal request meeting
Withdrawal request meeting (see below if you are on an F1 or J1 visa)
This Student Life meeting with a dean is required for your Withdrawal request to discuss your departure from the college and answer any questions you may have regarding your Withdrawal. Please schedule your meeting with Steve Abrahão, Yasodha Gopal, Claudia Ramírez Islas, or Chris Toutain.

This Student Life/International Student Services meeting is required for your Withdrawal request to discuss the withdrawal process, your SEVIS status, and departing Reed College. Please schedule your meeting with Gwen Sandford, Program Director for International Student Services.
