Orientation 2017

Orientation: August 18–27, 2017

Welcome to all new students! Reed's Orientation program will help you explore the range of academic and co-curricular opportunities at Reed. You will have fun, meet your classmates, get your bearings, and begin to settle in to life at Reed.

A Note from the Orientation Staff

Before you arrive, please read this site carefully to find out everything you need to know about New Reedie Orientation. It is especially important that you check the Getting Started at Reed page and complete the necessary forms—this information is time sensitive.

Feel free to contact the Orientation or student engagement offices for more information.

Book Hotels Now

Many area hotels have already sold out for the entire week leading up to the August 21 Total Solar Eclipse. So, if you haven't already made your hotel reservations, we recommend that you do so, ASAP. In addition to the lodging partners listed on our website, we have negotiated a room block at The Monarch Hotel and Conference Center. Booking is available until July 21. The Monarch Hotel is a short drive to campus and near plenty of shopping centers.  For more information about the eclipse and its path visit eclipse2017.org.
