Virtual advising

CLBR advisors are happy to provide advice via email and review documents electronically. Email the advisor you have been working with if you have questions they can answer or documents for them to review. If you have not worked with an advisor yet, you can email to be directed to the right advisor for you.

Express Advising with Peer Career Advisors

Express Advising is on hiatus for the summer and will return in fall semester. CLBR is open all summer and you can schedule an appointment with an advisor via Griffin Door.

Drop-in hours with CLBR staff

Drop-in hours during the summer are 12pm-1pm Monday through Thursday in Prexy. Check our website at the start of fall semester to see where our drop-in hours are around campus.

Fellowships & Awards Adviser
Coordinate application and nomination processes for Nationally Competitive Fellowships and Awards (Fulbright, Watson, Rhodes, Truman, etc); oversee administration of funding programs offered through CLBR (Winter International Travel Fellowship, President's Summer Fellowship, various Internship Awards, Davis Projects for Peace, etc.); support students in their applications for any funding opportunity, whether or not related to Reed; providing feedback on draft application materials and procedural advice as relevant.

Advising for students and alumni applying to graduate and professional programs (e.g. medicine, law, business, education, etc.) 

Kari Berkas

Internship & Career Advisor
General career advising for current Reed students: advising in all career interest areas and objectives including on-campus employment, part-time jobs, internships, and post-graduation career, and offering document reviews, mock interviews, and advice on how to find opportunities; collaborate with Reed campus offices to provide career development programming for students.
