Bookstore

student moving inThe Reed College bookstore stocks all required and recommended textbooks and also has an in-depth selection of general books, which it sells below retail price. The bookstore carries school, dorm, and office supplies; t-shirts and other Reed clothing; a wide variety of Reed memorabilia; and greeting cards, magazines, and snacks. Special-order service is available for any book or supply item not regularly in stock. The bookstore's Care Box program has proven to be very popular with parents and grandparents who want to let their Reedies know that they are thinking of them. Students can preorder their textbooks, and the bookstore accepts orders via the web at http://bookstore.reed.edu, by phone at 503/777-7757, and by email at bookstore@reed.edu. Students may pay with a credit card, cash, or check, and may also set up a bookstore account for a nominal one-time charge. Store hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (break hours vary).

For late-night Reedies, Homer's Hut is open from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., seven days a week, offering food and beverages, magazines, CDs, health and beauty aids, and other convenience items.

Mail services

Please be sure to address mail to students using their name, followed by their mail stop (MS) number and Reed's address. do not use the terms "PO Box" or "Box" (terms used by the US Postal Service), as mail could be misdirected, delaying delivery by a week or more.

Letters and packages can be sent to students after August 15 via UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, and other shippers. Call or email Reed's mail services to get your student's MS number before shipping.
