New Summer Institute and MA Programs at Stony Brook

I am writing on behalf of the Stony Brook linguistics community to let you and your students know about two new exciting programs offered by our Department.

Master of Arts in Computational Linguistics:
The Stony Brook Linguistics Department launched its Masters Program in Computational Linguistics in Fall 2018. This 3-semester program is designed to guide matriculated students to a level where they can compete for positions at the intersection of theoretical linguistics and natural language processing. For more information click here.

This program complements our existing graduate programs, including the MA in LinguisticsMA in TESOL, and PhD in Linguistics

Middle Eastern Languages Summer Institute (MELSI):
The Stony Brook Linguistics Department is hosting our first Middle Eastern Languages Summer Institute (MELSI), May 28-July 3, 2019. MELSI features intensive courses in Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, and Turkish. Additional relevant courses and cultural activities are also available for students in the program. For more information click here.

Thank you for spreading the word about the unique opportunities our programs offer to your graduate and undergraduate students.

Sincerely,
Lori Repetti
