For employees, to prepare for ending Reed employment

Before you leave:
  • Your final check will be directly deposited into your bank account. Any outstanding charges and/or loans will be deducted from this final check. Contact the business office, payroll department if you have any questions about your final paycheck.
  • Ensure that you turn in all Reed property, including computer equipment and your Reed ID card. Keys will need to be turned into Facilities on your last day.
  • Set up an appointment with someone in the HR office to take part in an exit interview on your last day of work.
  • If you are relocating, provide HR with your new address information.
Your benefits:
  • Your medical and dental benefits will end on the last day of the month in which your Reed employment ends.
  • All other benefits (life insurance, flexible spending, etc.) end on the last day of your employment. If interested in continuing your life insurance coverage after employment, complete this form.
  • You will soon receive information in the mail to your home address about continuation of medical, dental and/or flexible spending account coverage through COBRA. Compare this option with your options for buying medical coverage on the health insurance marketplace.
  • Contact TIAA to discuss your Reed 403(b) retirement account. Access your account online or call TIAA at 1-800-842-2776.
