Reed’s financial aid program includes federal, state, and institutional funding sources. Financial aid may be in the form of grants, loans, and student employment opportunities.
Grants
The largest source of aid comes directly from the College in the form of the Reed Grant. Federal and state grants are also available for students who qualify.

Announcements
Student Loan Debt Relief Plan: On August 24, 2022, Federal Student Aid and the Biden-Harris Administration announced loan cancelation plans of up to $10,000 in federal student loan debt for Americans earning less than $125,000 per year ($250,000 for couples) and up to $20,000 for borrowers who received Pell Grants while they were in college. In addition, the student loan payment pause has been extended for one final time through December 31, 2022.
Borrowers can view their loan balances and check their Pell Grant status by logging into their Federal Student Aid account online at studentaid.gov.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Suppplemental Appropriations (CRSSA) Act, and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act each provided funding to institutions of higher education through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF).
