Using Abbreviated Commands

For most of the website, full commands are used, but in your own work there is no reason not to shorten things. In general a command can be shortened to the shortest string of letters which still uniquely identifies the command. For example, summarize can be shortened to sum. To see how much a command can be abbreviated, type help [command] The Syntax section of the help file will include the command with an underline.

Note: Any command that permanently overwrites data, such as replace does not have an abbreviation.
