Mitsuki Dazai is a founder and Artistic Director of the Japanese koto (zither) ensemble group, Oregon Koto-Kai, formed in 2012. In addition, she has been giving private lessons since 2003. Receiving a BA at Tokyo's prestigious Kunitachi College of Music and Instructor’s Certificate at the Sawai Koto Institute where she studied with the world-renowned virtuoso Kazue Sawai.

Dazai’s artistry and diverse musical background has been blooming in various music venues since she moved to Oregon in 2002 by collaborating with numerous musicians in different genres, besides performing regularly at the Portland Japanese Garden as a soloist. She has toured throughout the US, Europe, South America, Canada and Japan.
