Proposed courses to take abroad

After receiving approval from the International Programs Office, you will need to complete a form sent by the Registrar’s Office indicating the courses for which you wish to register in the upcoming semester.

You can find course information in the Class Schedule. List 4 courses in order of preference and 3 alternates. Please include course code (subject and number) as well as course title. If a class requires previous coursework, please indicate a course you have taken at your home institution that may meet the prerequisite.

Please write several paragraphs explaining why you wish to study abroad, why you have chosen Reed College, and what you hope to achieve from your exchange experience.

Financial Guarantee

If your application is accepted, you will then be asked to provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself while you are abroad. This may include proof of your student loan, bank statements, or a financial guarantee from a parent or a bank.
