Project Myopia

We’re keen to get more students involved in our project, which aims to broaden university curricula. One of our most-read articles was written by a Reed College student and we're excited to know what other Reed students might want to write for us.

Project Myopia is looking for new contributors! We are an award-winning, LAHP-funded, searchable academic resource, designed to help students look beyond the current canon.

Our aim is to help students find objects of study made by artists from marginalized backgrounds, and to help educators pick diverse works for their classes. If you're looking for works of literature, art, and film to study that are outside the traditional curriculum, we've got you covered - and if you're keen to write for us, drop us an email at projectmyopia@gmail.com. If you're interested to check out what kind of articles we publish, take a look at this example, one of our most-read pieces, written by a Reed College student.

We're looking to help anyone publish their reviews of artworks that have been neglected by traditional curricula, and our team of graduate students can work with you closely to edit your writing to be the best that it can be. Since launching in 2017, we’ve published an incredible slate of articles. Our writers have tackled homosexuality in Arab literature, feminist re-readings of Shakespeare, Canadian First Nations poetry, and so much more. We’ve been lucky enough to work with contributors from across the globe, and we’re excited to work with you!

Our website is www.projectmyopia.com - please check it out, we upload new articles regularly!
