Gathering Stories - Internship at the Portland Art & Learning Studio

The Portland Art & Learning Studio is a 10,000 sqft studio for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Portland, OR. We are looking for a summer intern to help us collect poems and creative writings from the 200 artists that come to us every Monday - Friday. We are hoping that the intern will also collaborate with the artists in the creation of chapbooks, writing exchanges, and readings. For samples of our artists' works, please visit our website https://portlandartandlearningstudio.com/ and Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/portlandartandlearningstudio/ ... One of our poets currently has their works traveling the country in a touring exhibition and another just got picked up by a major publisher in New York.
We are looking for someone to come in at least one day a week for two hours. Previous experience working with our population is not necessary.
Our studio is located at MLK and Alberta.
Applicants should schedule an interview and studio tour by emailing: daniel.rolnik@albertinakerr.org
