Bulletin Board
Agora
Agora is a new forum inviting young (ish) people around the world to connect through writing, photography, art, and ideas. By providing a common place to share stories about the places we’re from and put forward new, bold ideas, we aim to patch together a global perspective on what makes us tick, what we’re curious about, and what needs to happen next. More info about our project here: t.ly/agora
Wanting to deal with the feelings of personal and political instability confronting us on a global scale, for our first issue, we invite you to send us work from your isolation cell. We want to hear about the extent to which you have experienced lockdown, where you’ve been, who you’ve been with, and what you want to do when it’s over.
We are accepting work of all mediums, including:
- Personal essays/creative non-fiction, letters, cultural commentary, and hot takes
- Photography and photo-essays
- Film, multimedia art, and illustration
- Fiction and poetry
- Short reviews of what you’ve been reading, watching, and listening to (400 words maximum)
We invite you to send us your pitches as soon as possible, and send final submissions by Friday, July 31 to submissions.agora@gmail.com. Alongside your piece, please let us know where you’re writing from.
We look forward to seeing what you have in store.
