How much does it cost to do a load of laundry?
- It costs $1.25 for a standard wash cycle and $1.25 for a standard dry cycle. Back to Top
How do I operate the laundry machines?
- Washer
1. Load clothes and all products (soap, bleach, etc.)
2. Select machine using reader's numeric keypad and press ENTER.
Note: To cancel a transaction press CANCEL before swiping card.
3. The transaction will be deducted from your laundry account.
4. Select cycle on washer by pressing fabric settings button.
Dryer
1. Select machine using reader's numeric keypad and press ENTER.
Note: To cancel a transaction press CANCEL before swiping card.
2. To add dry time before starting the dryer press the ADD TIME key.
3. Swipe card within ten seconds to complete the transaction.
4. Select cycle on dryer by pressing fabric settings button.

How do I add money to laundry account?
- 1) By credit or debit card: go to the Campus eCard system in IRIS to add money. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
2) By cash or check: go the Cashier’s Window on the 3rd floor of Eliot. It is open Monday – Friday from 10am – 4pm. Back to Top
How do I see how much money I have on my laundry account?
- 1) After you swipe your card to do a load of laundry, the card reader will display your remaining balance.

Can anyone else (parent, guardian, etc.) add money to my laundry account?
- If someone else wants to add money to a student account, they will need to send a check to:

If I permanently leave Reed, can I request the remaining balance on my laundry account?
- If you permanently leave Reed and would like the remaining balance from the laundry account, email the controller@reed.edu to request a refund. Please include your name and ID number. You can request a either a cash/check refund or transfer the balance to your student tution account. Back to Top
What do I do if a laundry machine is broken?
- Contact Facilities at x7283 or physical-plant@reed.edu. Please make sure you report both the location of the machine and the number posted on the front of it. Back to Top
