The student accounts team operates within the business office and is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition and fees for the college. To make the process of paying tuition as easy as possible, we offer convenient online access to the student and their authorized user/s to view the student's account which includes multiple payment options including payment plans.
Tuition Account Information
Students and Families
Important information for incoming students:
- Student Account Center is inaccessible until new students claim their Reed computer account and receive a Reed email address.
- Instructions and a unique activation code are emailed to new students with the subject, "Getting Started".
- Following the creation of the Reed computer account, the student will need to:
- login into their IRIS account, Reed’s password-protected website for community members, at iris.reed.edu,
- click on the Student Account Center link on the IRIS home page
- and verify their personal information.
- The following options for authorized users will only be available after the student takes the above steps to set up their account.
- Authorized users' access can be obtained in two ways:
- the student may invite authorized users directly from the main page of Student Account Center, which will prompt an email to be sent to the authorized user to claim and set up their account, or
- authorized users may request access to Student Account Center; these access requests must be approved by the student, and involve the student logging into their student account through the IRIS link and accepting the request.

- *Monthly payment plans are one way to pay tuition and fees, if paying fees with a monthly payment plan, the payment plan needs to be set up and in good standing on or before the August 16 deadline.
- There are three options for payment plans for the fall semester:
- 6 month plans (begin in May), 5 month plans (begin in June), and 4 month plans (begin in August)

Additional Student Account Information
Only students have access to the student account through IRIS. Click on Student Account Center, under the Student tab. Invite authorized users to set up their access in student account center.
All undergraduate students are automatically enrolled and billed for tuition insurance unless they complete a waiver to opt out of coverage. Learn more on our Tuition Insurance page.
Health insurance waivers, for those that waive the college plan, are to be filled out each year the student is waiving coverage. More information regarding student health insurance can be found here.
Students that are on the Reed health insurance plan may print their ID card here. Please select the "Print your ID Card" under the "Quick Links" selection.
Financial Aid Related Questions?

Incoming Students: Students should read through the Understanding Your Aid Award page for a better understanding of their financial aid package and for further details.
Continuing Students: Financial aid awards for the 2024-25 year will be released after Spring semester grades and class standings are finalized, and 2024-25 housing decisions become available. Awards will be released starting in mid-June (for students who met the April 15 priority deadline) and continuing through July. Students will be notified via email when their awards are ready to view and accept in Banner Self-Service.
