Sociolinguistic Artifacts

This video describes how despite Indian-accented English is often understood by people in the Global North as an imperfect acquisition of English, it is essentially as much a legitimate variant of English as Australian English is to British English, and goes into the history of how English came into India and what phonetic rules apply.
