Subject: Anticipation & admiration

Dear seniors and the entire Reed community,
Completing a thesis is the culmination of the Reed experience, not to mention a remarkable academic feat. It is an even more fortitudinous accomplishment in this unprecedented time. I share with our seniors their anticipation and excitement as they begin to turn in their theses.
This is my first full thesis season at Reed, and I’ll miss hearing the cacophony of cheers from the registrar's office reach my office down the hall. I’ll greatly miss seeing our seniors add their names to the thesis board in that hallway after submitting their work. It is a pale imitation, to be sure, yet we are celebrating seniors with a digital thesis board. Names, majors, and thesis titles will continue to be added as we near graduation, so be sure to check back often!
