Slavic Studies Courses
The School of Humanities is an academic unit at Tallinn University, which has the best expertise in teaching Russian language and culture. When studying in Tallinn, students have many opportunities to practice the language not only in class but also through extracurricular activities and everyday communication with local Russian speakers, who make up almost half of the city's population. The courses prioritize conversational practice and experiencing Russian culture. Semester-long courses can be combined with theoretical courses on Russian history, culture, literature, and linguistics, or on any other subject taught at the School of Humanities in English or in Russian.

Reed students interested in participating in the intensive Russian language summer program are encouraged to contact Professor Evgenii (Zhenya) Bernstein (Russian Department).
