Parent & Family Engagement

Reed Parents & Families

Parents and families are a valued part of the Reed community and important partners in student success. Learn more about connecting with Reed through events, initiatives, and volunteer and giving opportunities.

Parent & Family Leadership Committee

The Parent and Family Leadership Committee is charged with providing families’ perspectives to college leadership, advocating for a liberal arts education, increasing connections between families, and inspiring sustained family giving. The committee plans events and initiatives, and provides updates through our alumni newsletter.

Many thanks to our Reed community family volunteers for all you do!

Regional Family Gatherings

The Reed Parent & Family Leadership Committee extends a warm invitation to our families in two areas this summer—the Washington DC area and the Bay Area. Created for families by families, these events are an opportunity for both new and existing Reed families to meet. Join us!

How to Get Involved

If you are interested in learning more about parent and family engagement and how you can be more involved, please email Jenni Manning, associate director of individual giving, at or complete our interest form.

Reed Parent & Family Giving

Parent and family support helps Reed bridge the gap between tuition and endowment revenues and the annual cost of educating our students.

Each year, your gifts support nearly every aspect of the college, from financial aid and faculty research to student life and library books. Donations make possible the extraordinary educational experience Reed provides, and your endorsement of this particular education, along with gifts from alumni and friends, signals to foundations and others that the college deserves their support, as well.

Reed’s Parent & Family Giving Society is a collection of many gifts, large and small.
