COVID-19 Prevention & Response Plan

Communications

September 18, 2020

Dear students and staff who live on campus,

This message is for students and staff who live on campus and left their campus residences due to the air quality and threat of wildfires.

All community members who left their residences due to air quality or the threat of wildfires are asked to quarantine until the college has received notification of a negative test for COVID-19. If you live on campus and chose to travel to another residence, you must quarantine when you return to campus. Proceed with your regularly scheduled COVID-19 testing and stay in quarantine until the college has confirmation of a negative test result. You will be personally notified within 48 hours of your test if you test positive. If you do not receive a personal notification from the college within 48 hours of your test, you may leave quarantine.

Students who need assistance with quarantining can contact isolation and quarantine coordinator Jess Montecalvo at studentsupport@reed.edu.

We are also asking faculty who teach in person, students who live off campus and access campus, and staff who work with large groups on campus to follow these guidelines. They are receiving separate communications.

If you have questions, please send an email to the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group at coronavirusquestions@reed.edu.

Sincerely,
Mandy Heaton
