This week, in addition to testing students and staff who live on campus, we will surveillance test approximately 375 people who belong to the following populations. We have identified you as falling into one of these groups:
- Custodial, maintenance, and residence life staff working in residence halls
- Health & Counseling Center staff
- Bon Appétit staff
- Faculty and staff teaching in-person classes
- Community members working with large groups
- Students living off campus and taking in-person classes
- Faculty and staff working on campus who self-identify as having an increased risk of contracting the virus that causes COVID-19
If you believe you received this email in error and should not be included, please let us know. Otherwise, this email provides you with the link to sign up for your test as well as other important information.
Testing Schedule: Testing will take place this week on Thursday, September 17, and Friday, September 18, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Type of Test: The test conducted will be a PCR saliva test. We estimate the entire process should take approximately 15 minutes per person.
Location: The testing will take place in Gym 2 in the sports center. Please enter the Sports Center at the Botsford entrance, on the north side of the building near the weight room (not through the cage room as per usual), unless you need access to the elevator. If you need to use the elevator, enter the building at the upper south side entrance with your swipe and take the elevator down. You will exit Gym 2 on the south side of the room to ensure a one-way flow of traffic.
What to Bring: Bring your Reed ID.
Important: Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew gum for at least 30 minutes before your saliva test.
Results: Because this testing strategy involves conducting ~1,400 tests per week, only those who test positive will be notified of their test results.
Sign Up: Sign up for your test before Wednesday at noon by using the following link.
