COVID-19 Prevention & Response Plan

Communications

November 6, 2020

Dear students, faculty, and staff,

I write to you with our weekly update from the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group.

In partnership with our surveillance testing laboratory, we are excited to announce that students, faculty, and staff participating in weekly surveillance testing can now access their test history and results through the Predictive Labs online portal. To do so, visit https://client.predictivelabs.com/login and click "Forgot Password" to register, using your Reed email address. Please contact the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group at coronavirusquestions@reed.edu with any questions about this process.

Since our last update, we have identified one new COVID-19 case at Reed. This case was placed in isolation and a small number of potentially exposed individuals were contacted and quarantined promptly after the college's notification of the positive test results. Reed continues to report all associated COVID-19 cases online, found in the "Total Cases" section of the dashboard.

Again this week, COVID-19 activity in Oregon is on the rise, with record-setting case counts across the state and country. Please help us keep Reed a safe place to live, work, and study by continuing to participate in surveillance testing, the weekly risk assessment survey, and all other essential response measures on and off campus.

The Reed COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group maintains a strong working partnership with Multnomah County Health Department and Oregon Health Authority. We continue to consult with these public health representatives navigating the landscape of COVID-19 guidance and best practices, especially regarding case investigations, contact tracing, and disease prevention measures. County health authorities have expressed praise for our protocols and operations and are grateful to the Reed community for our efforts to combat the spread of the virus.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group at coronavirusquestions@reed.edu.

Sincerely,

Madison Riethman, MPH, CPH
