Hello student supervisors,
Below is some updated guidance regarding student work and cancelled shifts due to COVID-19:
- Per email guidance yesterday, supervisors are encouraged to provide alternative/remote work for student workers.
- If a student’s scheduled shift is cancelled by their supervisor due to COVID-19, and no alternative work is available, students may use accrued Oregon Paid Sick Leave for these hours. Instructions for using Oregon Paid Sick Leave can be found in the Student Worker Handbook.
The student work section on the COVID-19 FAQ page has been updated with this information.
