COVID-19 Prevention & Response Plan

Hello student workers, 

Below is some guidance regarding student work and COVID-19:

Alternative Work:

  • An email was sent yesterday to supervisors of student workers encouraging them to provide alternative/remote work for student workers when possible. Supervisors should be reaching out to student workers regarding plans for shifts or and/or remote work.

Cancelled Shifts:

  • If an hourly student worker's scheduled shift is cancelled by their supervisor due to COVID-19, and no alternative work is available, students may use accrued Oregon Paid Sick Leave for these hours. Instructions for using Oregon Paid Sick Leave can be found in the Student Worker Handbook.

The student work section on the COVID-19 FAQ page has been updated with this information. Students experiencing financial difficulty due to COVID-19 should see the FAQ page section titled “Financial issues for students” for more information.
