COVID-19 Prevention & Response Plan

Communications

June 17, 2020

Dear Reed student and family,

As we prepare for the Fall 2020 semester, there have been some changes in the timing of the billing. This communication includes important details and updates to the information included in prior communications including the May 2020 mailer that was emailed on May 27th to continuing students.

Tuition Assessment: Beginning mid-July, and continuing through the summer, fall tuition, fees, and financial aid will be available for viewing in Student Account Center (registration is required). The business office will assess charges and credits to student accounts as the data becomes available from the residence life, financial aid, and international programs offices. We anticipate this information may not be available until mid to late July. Due to the timing changes, we will not be sending paper bills.

Please note that residence life will communicate the process for obtaining fall housing to students after June 30.

Please review your account regularly throughout the summer, as changes may be processed daily. Students and their responsible billing parties will be notified the first week of August via email when details are available in Student Account Center.

Now would be a good time to verify you and anyone assisting you with your tuition billing has access to Student Account Center. If you do not have access, in the next few weeks you should receive an invitation from noreply@afford.com that you may use to register. Please email the business office if you need help with this process.

Payment due date: As a result of these changes in the timing of billing, the college is extending the due date for the Fall 2020 tuition and fees to August 21st. Additionally, the college is providing a grace period until August 28th. If you think you will need a longer payment extension, please complete this form to request arrangements as we are committed to working with students and families who may need extra time.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to the business office should you have any questions regarding the Fall 2020 billing.

Sincerely,

Reed College Business Office
