Dear students,
The campus is ready for your return for the spring semester.
If you tested positive for COVID-19 from a provider other than Reed’s Health & Counseling Center (HCC) during winter break, please upload the documentation of your positive test result to the secure Student Health Portal as soon as possible. If you are unsure of how to access the portal or upload the document, please contact the HCC at health-services@reed.edu or 503-777-7281.
Why is it important to provide the HCC with this information? A documented positive test result will exempt an individual from surveillance testing for 90 days due to the high rate of “false positive” results after an individual has had the virus. Students who have had a positive test in the past 90 days will be asked to isolate themselves until documentation of the test is received by the HCC.
All other students must sign up for and complete their scheduled surveillance tests. As a reminder, we emailed students this checklist of important tasks and deadlines related to accessing campus this semester. Please pay close attention to the new acknowledgement forms for students residing on campus and off campus and the twice-weekly testing requirements. You must sign the acknowledgement form by January 25.
If you will not access the Reed campus during the spring semester, please let the college know by completing the no access to Reed campus form.
For more information, contact the HCC at health-services@reed.edu or 503-777-7281.
Sincerely,
Dr. Timothie Rochon, DNP, RN, CNM
Medical Director
