COVID-19 Prevention & Response Plan

Communications

April 9, 2021

Dear select students, faculty, and staff,

COVID-19 surveillance testing appointments are now available for next week, the week of April 12. Two testing dates (Monday and Thursday) are available. Sign up below.

You are only required to sign up for and complete a test during the weeks in which you will be accessing campus. If you will not be accessing campus this week and do not need a COVID-19 test, please disregard this email.

Sign up now

Testing takes place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the student union. At your selected testing time, please enter the student union on the west side of the building, through the northwest entrance doors off the Gray Campus Center patio. You will exit the student union through the east doors to ensure a one-way flow of traffic.

Testing appointments will not carry over from week to week; instead, a new sign-up sheet will be shared by email no later than the Friday before the week in question.

Students who will be accessing campus are to complete two tests per week, no less than 72 hours apart. Faculty and staff members who will be interacting with others in person on campus should complete one test per week. For more details about the surveillance testing plan for this semester, please visit our COVID-19 testing web page.

Surveillance testing results are usually back within 36–48 hours. Participants can view and print their results by accessing the lab’s portal.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Group at coronavirusquestions@reed.edu.

Sincerely,

Madison Riethman, MPH, CPH
