Planned Outages

AFS File Server Maintenance

One of Reed's AFS file servers will be taken offline Wednesday morning, January 16th, at 7:30am. During this time access to AFS hosted files (via files.reed.edu, sftp.reed.edu, and people.reed.edu) will be intermittent. CIS staff will attempt to bring the server back online as quickly as possible, though the process may take as long as several hours. Updates will be posted here as the work progresses.

CrashPlan (backups) server maintenance, Thursday, 1/18 between 6-8am

On Thursday, 1/18, between 6-8am, maintenance will be performed on the CrashPlan (backups) server. During the maintenance window, there will be ~20 minutes where backups will not occur. The work is scheduled to be completed by 8am.

If you plan to work on important files during those hours, please use another backup method (such as a thumb drive) to save backup copies of the files.
