On-Campus Visits and Events
Be surrounded by the buzz of intellectual curiosity and scholarly inquiry by visiting Reed's campus. Prospective students are welcome to join us for a campus tour and Introduction to Reed, an informative session where an admission counselor will talk about our academic philosophy, the value of a liberal arts education, our approach to grading, typical student life experiences, exploring Portland, and more.
Campus Tour and Introduction to Reed (2 hours)
Campus visits are generally offered on weekdays and select Saturdays throughout the year, excluding holidays and special events. During registration, high school seniors will have the chance to select special add-ons including an interview, class visit, and overnight stay.
February 17 and March 22, 2024
Junior Visit Day
Come meet with us, experience Reed, and gain the tools you need to ace the college search and application process. Our admission team will lead sessions about navigating selective admission, writing your personal statement, and understanding financial aid. Your full visit will include additional sessions, special campus tours, and a reception where you’ll meet admission counselors and current Reedies.
An overnight stay is one of the best ways to get to know Reed! You’ll stay in one of our residence halls and be hosted by a current student. Attend Reed events, experience our dining hall, and get the inside scoop on Reed from your host. Seniors will have the option to register for an overnight stay when they sign up for a campus tour and introduction to Reed.
Seniors and Transfer Students Only
Experience the intellectual energy of our community when you sit in on one of our classes! A class visit is your chance to watch how students and professors engage in the classroom and wrestle with big ideas. Seniors and transfer students will have the option to register for a class visit when they sign up for a campus tour and introduction to Reed.
Do you have a class, community group, or other large group that would like to visit our campus? We're happy to arrange a special visit for groups of up to 50 people.
Are you a high school, independent, or CBO counselor interested in learning more about Reed? We invite you to visit campus to get to know us in person. You can take a tour with a current student, attend an information session, and meet with an admission counselor.
