Are you a student or new professional working in the many fields of northwest anthropology?  The 74th Northwest Anthropological Conference is hosting two full days of free events for students and new professionals! 

 

Northwest Anthropological Conference 2021

Dates: 7-10 April 2021

Cost: Free

 

The Northwest Anthropological Conference (NWAC) is an annual meeting of anthropologists from across the Northwest. Our participants are typically from Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and California. NWAC features presentations, posters, workshops, panel discussions, and more, on anthropological topics including archaeology, cultural anthropology, linguistics, biological anthropology, environmental anthropology, history, and cultural resource management. This year's theme is "Listen, Learn, Change: Celebrating Diverse Perspectives in Anthropology."  

  

NWAC 2021 will include:

  • Student Paper Competition
  • Resume/CV Workshop
  • Job Fair 
  • Job application guidance by hiring professionals
  • Archaeological fieldwork and networking tips
  • An introduction to the Association for Washington Archaeology Mentorship program
  • Book and gear giveaways at New Professional events
