Portland, OR (November 21, 2003) — The Reed College music department will present "A Seasonal Celebration" on Sunday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Kaul Auditorium on the Reed campus. Admission is free.

Violinist Margo Meyer, a Reed senior, will be soloist in the Autumn and Winter concertos from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, accompanied by the Reed Chamber Orchestra with conductor David Schiff.

The singers of the Collegium Musicum, directed by Virginia Hancock, will perform pieces on fall, winter, and the pleasures of drink by composers ranging in date from the Renaissance to the twentieth century.

These themes continue in selections from the autumn and winter sections of Haydn's The Seasons, performed by the Reed Chorus and Chamber Orchestra with vocal soloists Katherine Lefever, Lucas Carlson, Matthew Koren, and Ross Donaldson.

Sponsored by the Reed College music department, the performance is free and open to the public. For more information and directions to Reed College, visit the Reed events website or call the Reed events line at 503/777-7755.
