ANDALUSIAN DANCE AND MUSIC CONCERT AT REED

Puro Arte Flamenco presents a night of authentic Andalusian dance and music under the direction of Rafaela de Cadiz, Flamenco teacher at Reed College, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, in Reed's Eliot Hall chapel. Tickets are $13 for general admission, $10 for seniors and students (free to current Reed students, faculty, and staff). Born and raised in Cadiz, Spain, Rafaela de Cadiz has been dancing Flamenco since she was a little girl. As well as directing Puro Arte Flamenco, Rafaela teaches Flamenco at Portland State University and at Reed and offers group and private classes for children and adults.

Reed College, in Portland, Oregon, is an undergraduate institution of the liberal arts and sciences dedicated to sustaining the highest intellectual standards in the country. With an enrollment of about 1,360 students, Reed ranks third in the undergraduate origins of Ph.D.s in the United States and second in the number of Rhodes scholars from a liberal arts college (31 since 1915).
