Accommodations
A number of hotels in the Portland area offer special rates for Reed events. You can find information about options and instructions for reserving rooms at the Reed rate at Reed's accommodation page.
Travel
The conference will be held at Reed College in the Performing Arts Building, adjacent to the West Parking lot. Parking is free on campus.
There will not be shuttle service to Reed campus. However, Reed provides directions for travel to campus from the airport or downtown by car, ride share, and public transportation.
Trimet is the regional transit authority. Bus line 19 (Woodstock/Glisan) is the most convenient way to reach the Performing Arts Building from downtown Portland. Line 75 (Cesar Chavez/Lombard) serves the east side of campus from north and northeast Portland.
You can also use light rail (Trimet MAX) to reach campus from downtown. The Performing Arts Building is approximately one mile from the SE Bybee stop on the Orange Line MAX. You can connect to the line 19 bus to Reed College at the SE Bybee MAX station.
Trimet tickets are $2.50 for tickets valid for 2.5 hours and $5 for a day pass. They can be purchased at the Portland International Airport, at MAX stops, and at the Reed College Bookstore. You must have exact change to purchase a ticket on the bus.
