Tatyana Castillo-Ramos is a PhD candidate at Yale University in religious studies with a concentration in American religious history and is an incoming Postdoctoral Fellow at Reed College. She specializes in Latinx and Latin American religion. She has published on the Virgin of Guadalupe as a symbol of resistance in Latin American and US Latinx Religion in North America (Bloomsbury, 2023), as well as on Latinx activists in US-based sanctuary movements in various peer-reviewed articles. She’s also interested in the intersection of religion and popular culture, particularly in relation to video games.
