Subject: You're Invited: President's Student Showcase
August 13, 2025
Dear Reed community,
I hope you will join me for a brand-new tradition on campus: the very first President’s Student Showcase on Friday, September 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the PAB. This community-wide poster session will highlight the remarkable work Reedies have done over the summer—from groundbreaking research to hands-on internships, social justice initiatives, creative projects, and more.
While the poster session has been a cherished event for science majors for more than twenty years, this fall we are opening the doors wide to all disciplines. More than 150 students will share their experiences, offering us the chance to hear their stories, ask questions, and see firsthand the passion and talent that help define our community.
This showcase would not be possible without the many people and programs that make our exemplary undergraduate research and experiential learning possible—including the Undergraduate Research Committee, the Center for Life Beyond Reed, the Office for Institutional Diversity, the President’s Summer Fellowship, academic departments, faculty grants, and more. Thank you for inspiring and supporting our students.
I invite you to be a part of what we plan to make an annual tradition—a joyful gathering that celebrates student achievement, sparks conversation, and reminds us why we do the work we do together as students, faculty, and staff in the spirit of learning and connection.
Sincerely,
Audrey
