Recording yourself with QuickTime

If you are on a Mac, you can use QuickTime to record a video lecture presenting. 

  1. Launch QuickTime and choose File/New Movie Recording. Verify that the appropriate microphone is chosen, especially if you are not using the built-in microphone.
  2. Click the red “Record” icon.
  3. Record your lecture.
  4. Click the black “Stop” icon.
  5. Save your recording. 
  6. If desired, trim the beginning and end of your video, then upload your video to Ensemble, Reed’s media server.
