Kenna McCauley

Kenna is Reed’s Sustainability and Environmental Justice Scholar. A 2025 Reed grad in Comparative Race and Ethnicity Studies (CRES) with a concentration in history, she wrote a thesis on the social movements of the Hawaiian Renaissance of the 1970s, focusing on how race and ethnicity shaped participation. During her time at Reed, Kenna worked at Reed's Community Pantry and interned with the CRES program. As SEJ Scholar, Kenna supports connections between academic, co-curricular and residential education, with a focus on how to engage diverse perspectives on issues of social and environmental justice.

Rachel Willis

Rachel is a seasoned sustainability professional currently serving as Reed College’s first sustainability coordinator. She holds a master’s degree in leadership for sustainability education and has honed her expertise in driving impactful initiatives across various sectors, including higher education, non-profit, and K–12. At Reed, Rachel runs a student sustainability leadership program, oversees operational and energy efficiency initiatives, and partners with faculty to integrate sustainability in the curriculum.
