I'm very passionate about food and cooking, and I'm a proud plant mom (11 of them!)

Hi! My name is Omar, a sophomore Computer Science major from Cairo, Egypt. I’m involved with the international community at Reed and run the Southwest Asia & North Africa student union on campus. I find Portland a perfect city to be in college, and I love exploring it, biking, and walking around. I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to music, and playing squash, soccer, and volleyball during my free time. I'm excited to support the Peer Mentor Program and help students have a great Reed experience.

My passion is building equity and connecting through community. Hi, I'm Dru (she/her) and I am currently a biology major on the pre-med track. Some of my campus involvements include being a coordinator for the South Asian Union and volunteering for the Reed Community Pantry. I also work for a malaria research lab at OHSU. My hobbies include dancing (I used to be a competitive dancer), painting poorly, and watching nostalgic Bollywood movies to de-stress. I was also part of the Peer Mentor Program during my first year at Reed, and I am excited to give back to the program that became a valuable resource for me. I am dedicated to making Reed feel more inclusive so I hope my time as a mentor can play a role in helping make campus feel accessible, inviting, and easier to navigate for my mentees.

Shileatibu --- Hello and welcome! I'm a rising senior and Comparative Literature major concentrating in Caribbean Decolonial Studies (with a minor in music) from the island of Borikén! I'm a poet, professional chef, and medicinal herbalist; an octoglot and a member of the Latine Student Union leadership team. In my extremely scant spare time, I love throwing dinner parties and playing board games, and I run sessions of Dungeons & Dragons and Coyote & Crow with a few of my friends semi-regularly. I'm the current financial manager for the Paradox cafe on campus and a linguistic diversity ambassador in the Linguistics department for this upcoming year! Last year, I was the bike co-op manager, served as the Senate secretary, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain last semester! The summer before that I participated in the Critical Language Scholarship and spent my summer in Tbilisi, Georgia studying Russian!
