MRC Alliance

The MRC encourages student efforts to organize events, programs, and peer support networks that contribute to the development of an inclusive community. The MRC Alliance supports the sustainability of student organizations by coordinating communication between groups, connecting groups with informal faculty and staff advisors, and organizing periodic get togethers for group leaders to collaborate and share resources.

Active student groups who are part of the MRC Alliance include:

  • Black and African Student Union
  • Latinx Student Union
  • Low SES/First Gen Students
  • Students of Color
  • Trans & Gender Non-Conforming Peer Group
  • Asian and Pacific Islander Student Union
  • Queer Alliance
  • DiversifY
  • Feminist Student Union
  • Bulding Connections: women of color
  • Students with Learning Differences/Disabilities
  • Women for Women

Diversity and Inclusion Programming Assistance

In addition to helping with funding and support for specific events, programs, and peer support networks, MRC staff also can provide advice for how to make your organization's meetings more welcoming and inclusive, how to manage conflict, and how to connect with off-campus organizations and resources.

Individual students and student organizations interested in requesting funding assistance from the MRC (regardless of whether your group is currently connected to the MRC Alliance) should e-mail a brief proposal that includes budget, program details, and information about other funding sources to mrc@reed.edu.
