Spring 2011
Econometric Project #6

Due 6am, Tuesday, April 12

Hill, Griffiths, and Lim, Problems 10.3, 10.8, and 11.10

This project involves doing three of HGL's applied problems dealing with estimation of models in which some regressors are endogenous.

For this assignment, your report should be in three separate parts, one for each problem.

Problem 10.3 examines cross-section data on inflation, money growth, and real-output growth. It asks you to employ most of the standard methods for examining regressor endogeneity.

Problem 10.8 replicates some results from a classic study on women's labor supply.

Problem 11.10 replicates a study of the supply and demand for fish at a New York fish market. In part (f) of this problem, please also estimate by three-stage least squares.
